You can find the first of two Recipe Books by searching the bookshelf of the southern most house (left) — the second can be obtained by speaking to the man in red at the entrance. With the games outlined, let’s quickly talk about the casinos in Dragon Quest 11 and their available prizes. You place a 2,000 coin bet on each number for a total of 72,000 coins, for a 1/37 chance at a 1,000,000 coin jackpot. There’s a better casino much later in the game with a roulette table where you can nearly guarantee a jackpot.

Every jackpot target is easy to reach, the reason for this is that all the prize in here are actually trash until you have cleansed the monsters from this casino. Exchange gold for some tokens, a good starting amount would be 500 tokens – these are the currency you bet with and later exchange for prizes. There are two different casinos found throughout the lands of Dragon Quest 11, each casino with its own unique prizes. With Mordegon’s rise having been undone, the party travels to Puerto Valor in search of Don Rodrigo’s guidance. The party learn that Don Rodrigo had left the city for Heliodor to train their guards, but Servantes is more than happy to open the sea gates for him.

If the players monsters wins the first round they can then choose to multiply their money and bet again on a monster. If playing this NES game on an emulator, the player can use a save state feature to win at the poker game. It offers a different set of prizes including Magical skirt (Liquid metal helm), Gospel ring, than the Endor casino, but does not have a Monster Arena.

Outside the camp you’ll find the next Weather Cow — be sure to speak to it and pocket the Silver Ore by the river bank. Head to the ruins to the east of the Camp to find the next Crossbow Target (left), then head around the back and onto the top to find a ladder leading to a chest. Before you return to the mainland (follow the river south and past the camp until you reach a small island under the bridge), there’s a Sparkly Spot here containing a Silkblossom.

Hold off on Zooming back until you reach the next Camp and use the Horknight to travel over the water to a smaller island to the west. You’ll find the Mellow Vera for Quest 12 in the north-west of Dundrasil (left), along with the next Crossbow Target in a tree behind it. Return to the previous intersection , the chest on the cliff is inaccessible for now, and follow it south to reach the open field. You should focus next on working up to the Swordmastery category from either Swords or Greatswords to reach the Giga abilities. This is a doable method, but stealing these items from Headless Norseman is a much easier method and you’ll get much more quicker if you’re looking to get a lot of high-end crafting done.

You have to win that jackpot to complete a sidequest anyway. Only thing that can happen is 1/37 of the time the ball will land in green so you lose your entire bet, at which point you just reload. So you just do this over and over again until you get jackpot. My best was 5 double or nothing on a 100 win so 3200 but I lost a bunch otherwise.

Before you follow however, Return to where Rab stopped you previously and search behind the archway to find a pot containing a Dundrasil Guinea. As the mysteries continue to mount, Rab asks if you will help perform a ritual for all the souls of the Kingdom. There’s not much to these ruins, a lot of the area is destroyed beyond repair but there are a few items to snag. Before you continue on, Zoom back to the Camp quickly to report your Crossbow Targets to the Bodkin Bowyer and obtain four Seeds of Defense. You’ll find the final two chests of the region up here (the left chest however contains a Cannibox), take care and defeat it to obtain a Seed of Skill.
